Derechos Chile gathers in one easily accessible site a selection of on-line documents, articles, bibliographic references and other material which provide a comprehensive account of the human rights situation in Chile during the period of military rule (1973-1990) and of events that followed.

The Derechos Chile project was initially financed by the Ford Foundation and is part of the Chile Information Project (CHIP), an English-language news and information service based in Santiago, Chile.
