Cuartel Venecia
(Venecia 1700)

Cuartel Venecia, located near the 1700 block of Venecia, between Freirina and Quezada Acharán in Santiago, began as a safe house for important members of MIR. At the end of 1974 it was seized and later used as a meeting place for the Caupolicán group of the DINA. The Rettig Commission received testimonies that confirm that it was also used to hold and torture prisoners.
